Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Nanny Pact collects, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our contract-building platform.
Last updated: June 30, 2026
1. Who We Are
Nanny Pact ("Nanny Pact," "we," "us," or "our") provides software that helps nannies build, send, and collect signatures on work agreements with the families they work for. A nanny creates an account, builds a contract, and sends it to a family by email; the family reviews and signs it through a link, without needing an account of their own.
Questions about this policy can be sent to privacy@nannypact.com.
2. Information We Collect
When you create or use a Nanny Pact account, we collect:
- Your name and email address, from Google (if you sign in with Google) or from the email address you use for a one-time sign-in link. We don't use or store passwords.
- Account preferences, such as your default hourly rate and which contract clauses you keep on by default.
- Support, feedback, and other messages you send to us.
When you build and send a contract, we process:
- The family's name and email address, as entered by you.
- Contract terms you set: hourly rate, guaranteed hours, payday schedule, start date, number of children, and which protective clauses (overtime, vacation pay, defined duties, trial period, notice period, sick leave) are included.
- The status of each contract (draft, sent, signed) and timestamps for when it was sent and signed.
When a contract is signed, we collect, from each signer:
- How they signed — a typed name or a drawn signature image.
- The time of signing and the IP address the signature was submitted from, which helps establish that a signature is authentic if it's ever disputed.
3. Family Signers
A family does not need a Nanny Pact account to review or sign a contract — they access it through a unique link sent to the email address you provide for them. You are responsible for making sure you have the family's permission to send them a contract at that address and to collect their name and signature through Nanny Pact.
4. Analytics and Technical Information
We may automatically collect limited technical information, such as IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, and basic product usage events. We don't run any analytics tooling by default — see Cookies and Similar Technologies below for how you can control this if and when we add it.
We also keep security and error logs (request metadata, rate-limit events, and crash reports) to keep the service reliable and secure.
5. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate Nanny Pact, including building, sending, and signing contracts.
- Authenticate you via Google or a one-time email link, and keep your account secure.
- Email contracts and signing links to the families you send them to.
- Notify you when a family signs a contract, if you've asked to be notified.
- Detect abuse, prevent fraud, secure the service, and debug reliability issues.
- Provide customer support and respond to your messages.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your contracts, family information, or signatures to train AI models.
6. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of service providers to run Nanny Pact. They process data on our behalf, only as needed to provide their service:
- Supabase, for authentication and our database (account, contract, family, and signature data).
- Resend, to deliver transactional email — contract and signing-link emails, and account-related notices.
- Sentry, for error monitoring and debugging.
- Upstash, for rate-limiting and short-lived caching that keeps the service fast and abuse-resistant.
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your data. We may share data only:
- With the service providers described above.
- With a family you choose to send a contract to — they'll see the contract terms and, once signed, both signatures.
- When required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process.
- To protect Nanny Pact, our users, or the public from fraud, abuse, or security threats.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or business transfer.
8. Data Retention
We keep account, contract, family, and signature data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Signed contracts and their signatures are kept as a record even if you later stop using a particular contract, since they may serve as evidence of an agreement between you and a family.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see Your Rights below.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, object to, or restrict certain processing of your data.
Requests can be sent to privacy@nannypact.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
11. Children
Nanny Pact accounts are for nannies and other independent caregivers, who must be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through account creation. A child of a family using Nanny Pact may be referenced in a contract (e.g. "number of children"), but we do not collect any personal data about that child beyond what a nanny includes in the contract terms.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and provide notice where appropriate.
